Treatments

Who can have reflexology?

Reflexology is a safe, non-invasive treatment beneficial for all stages of life from babies to the elderly. There are certain times and conditions where reflexology is not recommended, so if you are concerned please contact me to discuss.

What information do you need from me?

At the first appointment a consultation will be carried out prior to the treatment. Information such as medical history, reason for seeking reflexology and stress levels is collated to help me tailor the treatment to you.

How do treatments take place?

You will be made comfortable on a reflexology bed with a pillow and covered with a blanket. You remain fully clothed.

How many treatments do I need?

This is very individual depending on the aim of the treatments. Many clients find 4-6 weekly treatments beneficial for their wellbeing.

Aftercare

How will I feel after the treatment?

You should feel relaxed and calm. Often clients report a good night’s sleep afterwards.

What should I do after the treatment?

It is advisable to:

  • drink plenty of water to rehydrate and help flush toxins from your body
  • avoid caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours
  • avoid strenuous exercise and try to rest for 2 hours after the treatment
  • avoid eating a heavy meal to allow your body to balance and heal
